Apple is set for an exciting second half of 2024, with the iPhone 16 stealing the spotlight. Numerous leaks and reports are already hinting at the launch date and potential features of the highly anticipated device.
As per the recent reports several Mac models are set to receive the new M4 chip.
In his latest PowerOn newsletter, Mark Gurman reveals that Apple plans to upgrade all its Mac models to the upcoming M4 processor. This upgrade could see the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, Mac Studio, and Mac mini all featuring the new M-series chip.
A major highlight of this report is that it reveals at least one Mac model will undergo more significant changes, however, the exact model is not mentioned.
Mark Gurman previously suggested that Apple might be developing a thinner and lighter MacBook Pro, reflecting the company’s new design direction. This model could be the one undergoing significant changes. Another possibility is the Mac Pro, which hasn’t seen a major design update since 2019. Additionally, the Mac mini, which has largely kept the same design since 2010, could be in line for a substantial redesign, along with the performance boost from the M4 chip.
However it’s too early to predict which Mac Model will get the M4 chip and resign awaits which models.
