Milan Denied Win After De Gea Masterclass

Fiorentina hosted AC Milan in the Serie A on October 6 in the seventh round of the league in a match that witnessed David De Gea save two penalties.  

Maignan Saves A Penalty

In minute 22, Moise Kean stepped up to shoot a penalty for the Violas, but Mike Maignan saved it to keep the match even. 13 minutes later, Yacine Adli fired a low-driven rocket to the bottom right corner of Maignan, who stood and watched.  

De Gea Replies Back With Masterclass

Before the halftime whistle, the Rossoneri were awarded a penalty, and Theo Hernandez was the penalty taker, but the Spanish goalkeeper saved it and kept Fiorentina calm as the referee whistled halftime.  

In minute 56, Milan got another penalty, but De Gea once again stood tall and saved it to keep the Violas chances of winning high. Four minutes later, Theo crossed in a precise ball to Christian Pulisic, who volleyed it with a fine touch to score for Milan and make it 1-1.  

Gudmundsson Grabs Three Precious Points

In minute 73, Albert Gudmundsson scored for Fiorentina with a fine finish to give them the lead. The match ended with the score 2-1, with De Gea showcasing his goalkeeping talent and gifting his team three precious points.  

Fiorentina sits in 11th place with 10 points, while Milan is sixth with 11 points.Â
