Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially opened a new 985-metre bridge that links Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street, heading toward Infinity Bridge. The two-lane structure can handle up to 3,200 vehicles per hour and is part of Phase 4 of the ongoing Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project.
This major infrastructure upgrade spans 4.8 kilometres from Sheikh Rashid Street’s intersection with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street to the Falcon Interchange on Al Mina Street.
The RTA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Dubai’s leadership vision by enhancing infrastructure to meet the growing demands of urban development and population expansion.

The bridge aims to ease congestion in the busy corridor by facilitating uninterrupted traffic flow, replacing traffic signal waits with continuous movement. As a result, travel time between Jumeirah and Al Mina Streets is expected to drop from 12 minutes to just 4, representing a 67% improvement.
Phase 4 of the project also involves the construction of five bridges totaling 3.1 kilometres in length, collectively accommodating up to 19,400 vehicles per hour. Additionally, it includes 4.8 kilometres of upgraded roads and improvements to surface intersections on Jumeirah Street, Mina Street, and Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Street. Two pedestrian bridges—one each on Sheikh Rashid Street and Mina Street—are also part of this phase.
Another bridge currently under construction will support traffic moving from the Infinity Bridge via Mina Street toward Al Wasl Street. This upcoming 780-metre-long bridge will feature three lanes and is expected to carry up to 4,800 vehicles per hour when it opens in Q2 2025.
