The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), through the General Department of Operations and Security Support, has announced its outlook to welcome the New Year 2025 with a meticulous traffic security plan aimed at enhancing the quality of life and ensuring the highest levels of safety and security across the emirate.
Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director-General of Operations and Security Support, outlined that the plan involves increasing security and traffic patrols across all areas of Sharjah, particularly at key locations where major events, celebrations, and fireworks displays take place – Al Heera Corniche, Al Buhaira Corniche, Khorfakkan Corniche, as well as public facilities and main roads.
He emphasized that Sharjah Police will utilize all available resources and cutting-edge smart technologies to support traffic security efforts. This includes advanced monitoring and communication systems to ensure a rapid emergency response 24/7, alongside close coordination with strategic partners like Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and Rafid Vehicle Solutions Company.
Brigadier General Dr. Al Naour urged the public to cooperate with security personnel at celebration sites, follow their guidance, and adhere to traffic instructions to ensure safety and avoid congestion. The UAE is known for its proactive approach in planning ahead of major festivities, ensuring that both residents and tourists can enjoy the celebrations without any hassle.
