In addition to Anora‘s sweeping success, Flow triumphed in the Animated Feature Film category, and Wicked made history with Paul Tazewell becoming the first Black man to win an Oscar for Costume Design.
It was a memorable night for filmmaker Sean Baker, who walked away with three awards for Anora, including Best Director, Original Screenplay, and Film Editing.
Other notable wins included Dune: Part Two for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound, as well as I’m Still Here, which won Best International Film.
The ceremony also celebrated Emilia Pérez, which saw Zoe Saldaña winning Best Supporting Actress and the film’s El Mal securing Best Original Song.
