During Ramadan 2025, students in private schools in Dubai have the option to attend classes remotely on Fridays. However, students who require in-person exams on Fridays are not included in this arrangement.
Furthermore, schools have been instructed to support families who may find remote learning unsuitable by allowing students to attend in person, as per the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE.
A post by Government of Dubai Media Office on X read, “In line with the directives of Hamdan bin Mohammed, private school students in the emirate will have the option of remote learning on Fridays throughout Ramadan.”
It further said, “Students with mandatory in-person examinations on Fridays are exempt from this arrangement. Additionally, schools are encouraged to accommodate families for whom remote learning may not be suitable by allowing students to attend classes in person if needed.”
Meanwhile, for the employees, Dubai has allowed flexible working hours and remote work. The private sector is also cutting down on 3 hours to streamline with the Holy month.
On February 27, Ajman authorities announced that employees of the government sector will 100% work remotely on Fridays. These implementations align with UAE’s commitment to smoothen the process, allowing every individual to balance work life well during the auspicious month.
