The Ajman Government’s Department of Human Resources has announced a 100% remote work policy for local government employees on Fridays during the Holy month of Ramadan, 2025. The initiative, overseen by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, is part of the UAE’s “Year of Community” initiative.

According to the circular, official working hours during Ramadan will be from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 pm to 12:00 pm on Fridays. The policy allows government entities to implement remote work while maintaining business continuity and uninterrupted service delivery.

Departments operating on shifts will determine working hours based on operational requirements, with a maximum shift length of 5.5 hours. A flexible work system is also allowed, ensuring employees fulfill required hours while ensuring sufficient staffing in customer-facing departments.

“Under the directives of Ammar bin Humaid, Human Resources adopts 100% remote work on Fridays during Ramadan for Ajman government employees,” read the post on X.
