Ramadan 2025: UAE Reduces Working Hours For Private Sector

Ramadan 2025 is just around the corner and on February 24, Monday, the Ministry announced a reduction of 2 working hours per day for private sector employees during the Holy Month.

The Ministry said: “In accordance with the requirements and nature of their work, companies may apply flexible or remote work patterns within the limits of the daily working hours during Ramadan.”

On Sunday, the UAE government announced the Ramadan working hours for public sector employees.

As per the announcement, ministries and federal authorities will operate from 9.00 AM to 2.30 PM Monday to Thursday, and from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM on Fridays.

While the date for the first day of Ramadan 2025 is not officially declared yet, reports suggest that the Holy month will begin on Saturday, March 1, in most Islamic countries.
