Ras Al Khaimah’s renowned mountain attraction, the Jais Sledder, has been temporarily shut down, according to Khaleej Times. No reopening date has been confirmed yet.

The sledder, the region’s longest toboggan ride, has been out of operation for about a week. A call center representative for Jais Adventure Park stated that no reopening date has been confirmed yet. While the exact reason for the closure was not officially revealed, a staff suggested that it could be related to routine maintenance work.

Jais Sledder is one of eight attractions at the adventure complex on Ras Al Khaimah’s Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest mountain. Known for offering an adrenaline-packed experience, the ride has been a favorite since its 2022 launch.

Thrill-seekers have flocked to the Jais Sledder for its 40kmph descent down the rugged Hajar Mountains, enjoying stunning views of the terrain and coastline. Tickets were priced at Dh50 for adults and Dh65 for one adult and a child.

The Google listing for the adventure now states “temporarily closed.” Nearby, visitors can still enjoy activities like hiking and the world’s longest zipline.
