Roads Closed: Here’s Close Look At Dubai’s New Year’s Eve Schedule

The clock is ticking, and the UAE is all set to celebrate New Year’s with excitement, thanks to the globally famous Burj Khalifa fireworks that attract millions every year. If you’re already out to ring in the night, here’s a quick guide in case you’ve missed out on any important information.

Dubai Roads Closed for New Year’s Eve

On December 31, roads leading to Burj Khalifa will be closed for New Year’s Eve celebrations. Starting at 4 PM, closures will affect Al Asayel Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Burj Khalifa Street, Lower Financial Centre Street, and Mustaqbal Street. Sukuk Street will close at 8 PM, followed by Upper Financial Centre Street at 9 PM. By 11 PM, closures will extend along Sheikh Zayed Road, from Al Meydan Street to the Trade Centre Roundabout.

Metro & Tram Schedule

Dubai Metro will run from 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM on December 31, and from midnight to 11:59 PM on January 1, 2025. The Dubai Tram will operate from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM on December 31, and from midnight to 1:00 AM on January 1, 2025.

Bus Schedule

Dubai’s public buses will have adjusted schedules for the New Year’s holiday. Passengers can check updated timings via the S’hail app. The E100 bus route from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and the E102 route from Al Jafiliya Bus Station will be suspended from December 31 to January 1, 2025. During this period, travelers are advised to use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi as an alternative for both routes.
