Saudi Arabia has announced an extended four-day holiday to mark its 94th National Day, set for September 23, 2024. With National Day falling on a Monday, the holiday will create a long weekend spanning from Friday to Monday, giving citizens an extended break to celebrate.
Both government and private sector employees will enjoy the four-day holiday, ensuring a paid time off in accordance with regulations set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The extended holiday aims to foster a deeper engagement with the celebration of the kingdom’s progress and achievements.
This year’s theme, “We Dream and We Achieve,” unveiled by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), will emphasize the nation’s strides toward Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting transformative projects and future ambitions. The GEA is also encouraging both public and private institutions to incorporate the official National Day identity in their communications, with guidelines available online.
This year’s festivities are expected to draw nationwide participation, reflecting the pride in the nation’s ongoing development.
