The Sharjah Human Resources Department (SHRD) has declared the dates for the Eid Al Fitr 2025 holidays for all government employees in the emirate. The holiday will begin on 1 Shawwal 1446 AH and will extend through to 3 Shawwal 1446 AH.
Should the holy month of Ramadan conclude with a full 30 days, the 30th day of Ramadan will also be observed as an official holiday, offering an extended break in addition to the Eid Al Fitr festivities.
To conclude this, work will resume on 4 Shawwal 1446 AH, with the exception of employees in shift-based roles, who follow their respective schedules. The holiday timeline applies to government departments, authorities, and institutions.
In celebration of the occasion, the Sharjah Human Resources Department extended heartfelt congratulations to the UAE’s leadership, the people of the nation, and to all Arab and Islamic countries. The Department expressed its sincere wishes for peace, prosperity, and continued blessings for all during this auspicious time.
Earlier, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, UAE, officially declared the Eid Al Fitr holiday for government sector employees. The moon sighting is expected to occur on March 29, which suggests that Eid will fall on March 30, 31, and April 1 in the Gregorian calendar, giving residents and tourists a good short break to rejuvenate and celebrate.
The Eid Al Fitr long break is one of the most awaited holidays in the UAE. The region is gearing up with offers, events, and a lot more, so that everyone has something to look forward to.
