A 27-year-old Emirati man tragically lost his life after being stabbed during a dispute in Sharjah’s Al Siyouh area, Sharjah Police confirmed. The incident occurred early Thursday morning and has sent shockwaves through the local community.
The Sharjah Police Operations Room received an emergency report at 12:40 a.m., prompting the immediate dispatch of police patrols, the Crime Scene Investigation Team, and National Ambulance services to the scene.
Details of the Incident
Upon arrival, authorities found the victim suffering from three stab wounds to his leg. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries due to their severity.
Initial investigations revealed that the stabbing stemmed from a dispute between the victim and two men, both in their 30s. As the altercation escalated, one of the suspects, who is the brother of the other, used a sharp object to fatally wound the victim.
Swift Action by Authorities
The assailant fled the scene before authorities arrived. However, within just 12 hours, Sharjah Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) successfully identified and apprehended two suspects connected to the crime.
During interrogation, one of the brothers confessed to the stabbing. The case has since been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
