While the Sharjah Book Fair 2024 features an array of books across various genres and countries, what enticed us most was the showcase of books on corporate leadership, learning, and entrepreneurship – particularly as the UAE market is a global hub for talent and innovation. While many grapple with finding their place in the industry, some simply outsmart the competition in no time.

Backing this, Preea V Mane, Founder & CEO, Bestselling Author – Essentials for STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP: Vision to Victory said, “I observed the challenges and the transformative power of clear strategic vision and authentic leadership. I wanted to create a guide that distills essential principles to help leaders align their vision with impactful execution, ultimately fostering environments that thrive on innovation and purpose. I hope that the book empowers leaders to drive change while embracing resilience and adaptability.”

Mane explained that the inspiration for writing the book stemmed from her experiences in corporate leadership and entrepreneurship: “Readers have shared how the practical frameworks and real-world insights have helped them navigate complex situations in their organizations, and some have even integrated parts of the book into their leadership development programs. It’s humbling to see the positive impact it’s making across industries.” She also highlighted that within just one month of its launch, the book became a #1 bestseller on Amazon, which was affirming.

“One of the most memorable experiences this year involved a showcase that perfectly captured the principles I aimed to convey in Essentials for Strategy & Leadership: Vision to Victory. This project illustrated how a strong, purpose-driven strategy could elevate not only the organization’s objectives but also the broader community,” said Preea, who is also a Corporate & Freezone Strategist and Consultant.

She added that the project showcased how a “purpose-driven strategy” could elevate both “organizational goals and the wider community”, with many who witnessed it at their workplace sharing how inspiring it was to see leadership principles come to life in a meaningful and relatable way. “It reinforced the idea that true impact goes beyond traditional measures of success, leaving a lasting, positive effect on everyone involved,” concluded Mane.

We also heard from Khalid Backer, Author and Founder of Mystic Thread Books, who said, “I feel so content and elated to meet friends who love books as much as I do. It is very heartening to see youngsters embracing literature as much as veteran readers. I feel even more blessed to have my book go into its second edition just a week after launch, making it probably the fastest-selling book on display. I have always believed that everyone should spend a small portion of their income on books, as the worlds they get to explore through reading are priceless.”
