Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, a 23-year-old known as La Muñeca (“The Doll”), has been accused of orchestrating and executing multiple high-profile murders in rural Colombia. Her alleged crimes, committed on behalf of the Los de la M gang, have earned her a reputation as one of the “most feared” hitwomen in the region.
What is she accused of?
Rodriguez is believed to have led a small team of hitmen that terrorized communities in Barrancabermeja. One of her alleged crimes includes the assassination of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus. Authorities claim Rodriguez lured him under the guise of resolving a financial dispute, only for him to be ambushed and fatally shot by two accomplices.
How was she arrested?
Magdalena Medio Police arrested Rodriguez in the municipality of Piedecuesta. Alongside her, two accomplices were detained: Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, nicknamed Gorda Sicaria (“Fat Hitwoman”), and another associate known as “Leopoldo.”
Evidence against Rodriguez
A video shared by the Magdalena Medio Police on social media showed Rodriguez being escorted in handcuffs, wearing a white crop top and black shorts, as officials presented her arrest to the press.

Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera stated that the arrest has brought “a period of calm” to the region, marking progress in dismantling criminal networks responsible for recent homicides.
Significance of the Arrest
Rodriguez’s capture highlights the growing concerns about organized crime in Colombia. Her notoriety underscores the increasing involvement of women in roles traditionally dominated by men within criminal organizations. The police see her arrest as a key step in restoring stability to the affected areas.
