The UAE Prepares For A Month-Long National Day Celebration: Here’s All You Need To Know

UAE National Day celebrations

The UAE government has launched a new campaign to celebrate key national occasions, including UAE Flag Day and 53rd Eid Al Etihad – UAE National Day. The campaign will run from November 3 to December 3, involving 16 government, semi-government, and private sector entities.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC), said that the campaign aims to honor the UAE’s founding fathers, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, reports Khaleej Times.

Here’s everything you can look forward to:

Fireworks and Celebrations

  • Fireworks will be held at JBR Beach, Al Seef, Hatta, and Dubai Festival City Mall on December 2 and 3.
  • There will be traditional folk dances and music performances in Hatta.
  • Global Village will light up with fireworks.

Seasonal Markets and Events

  • Beach Canteen, Ripe Market, and Winter Wonderland will have Emirati-themed activities, food, and shopping.
  • Dubai Culture will host events at the Hatta Heritage Village and Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood.
  • City Walk will have a ‘Union Day Parade’ on December 2.

Parks, Museums, Airports 

  • Al Shindagha Museum will have interactive performances and exhibitions.
  • Expo City Dubai will have a musical concert called ‘Union Symphony’.
  • Al Wasl Plaza will have an Emirati Harvest Market and traditional performances.
  • Dubai Municipality will decorate major parks and landmarks with lights.
  • Dubai Airports will have a special area for celebrating UAE National Day.
