A recent study suggests that hiring in the UAE is expected to rise next year, driven by business growth and increased clarity following elections in the US and India. 63% of UAE business leaders anticipate an increase in their workforce over the next 12 months. However, there is still a debate on how employers hire candidates in the region.

Richard Jackson, COO, TASC Group, said, “It’s exciting to see that hiring in the UAE will pick up in the next couple of months. After a period of cautious decision-making, businesses are now gearing up for growth, and that’s great news for everyone.”

He highlighted how UAE employers are seeking unique skills, given the large pool of CVs they receive. Jackson added, “This is the perfect time for companies to bring in fresh talent and fill those long-standing gaps. But with the demand for specific skills on the rise, it won’t be as simple as posting a job and waiting for the right candidate. Employers will need to think creatively—maybe by offering training for their current teams or looking at candidates who bring something unique to the table, even if they don’t check every single box on the job description.”

We discussed if this is the right time for job seekers in Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, among other emirates, to which Richard confirmed that “it’s is a golden opportunity.”

“Whether you’re looking for your first job or thinking about switching careers, now’s the time to sharpen your skills and put yourself out there. Companies are actively looking, and if you can show that you’re ready to grow with them, there’s a lot of potential to land a great role,” he concluded.
