His Excellency Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, met His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, reflecting the strategic relationship between the two nations.
During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders reviewed the current situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts to prevent the spread of regional conflicts that threaten security and stability. More so, they stressed the need for a clear path to peace that ensures long-term stability for the region.
Most importantly, they discussed the situation in Syria, reaffirming their shared commitment to the region’s stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, along with their joint support for the aspirations of the Syrian people towards peace and development.
The meeting was attended by key UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State.
