The UAE fuel prices change every month, and the government has announced petrol and diesel prices for the month of October 2024. The new rates will apply from October 1 and are as follows:
· Super 98 petrol will cost AED2.66 a liter, compared to AED2.90 in September.
· Special 95 petrol will cost AED2.54 per liter, compared to the current rate of AED2.78.
· E-Plus 91 petrol will cost AED2.47 a liter, compared to AED2.71 a liter in September.
· Diesel will be charged at AED2.6 a liter as compared to the current rate of AED2.78.
Petrol prices were expected to drop for October as global oil prices took a dip in September.
Brent oil prices averaged nearly $73 a barrel in September compared to $78.63 a barrel in August and this can be attributed to multiple factors such as firmer supply and news about Saudi Arabia planning to increase production. Oil prices dropped 4 percent in two days after Saudi announced plans to increase output.
The UAE’s Fuel Price Committee will officially announce the new retail prices for petrol and diesel tomorrow, which will be in line with global market rates.
