The UAE petrol prices change every month and the government is set to announce the new petrol prices for October next week. Petrol prices took a dip in September in the UAE, offering some relief to motorists as Super 98, Special 95, E-Plus 91, and diesel became more affordable.
Petrol prices have increased for Super 98, Special 95 and E-Plus 91 since January, while the cost of diesel has fallen fractionally.
UAE fuel prices for 2024 are as follows:
In January 2024, E-Plus 91 was priced at AED2.64 a liter while diesel was set at AED3 a liter.
Despite price reductions last month, E-Plus 91 is now more expensive (at AED2.71 a liter) than at the start of the year.
Special 95 and Super 98 are also more expensive now than at the start of the year, rising from AED2.71 to AED2.78 a liter and AED2.82 to 2.90 a liter respectively.
From September 1, the cost of filling up vehicles in the UAE has been:
Super 98: AED2.90 a liter from AED3.05 in August
Special 95: AED2.78 a liter from AED2.93 in August
E-Plus: AED2.71 a liter from AED2.86 in August
Diesel: AED2.78 a liter from AED2.95 in August
The new rates will come into effect from October 1, 2024.
