According to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), while the storm is not expected to directly impact the UAE, the country may still experience some indirect effects from the severe weather.

NCEMA held an urgent meeting with the Joint Assessment Team to review the potential risks and coordinate response efforts. The authority emphasized that the storm could cause rough seas and minor seawater surges in some coastal areas. “We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide safety guidelines to the public through official channels,” NCEMA said in a statement, urging residents to stay informed through reliable sources and avoid spreading unverified information or rumors about the storm’s impact.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has indicated that the tropical storm is expected to continue moving through the Arabian Sea over the next 48 hours. Although the UAE will not face a direct hit, there is a possibility of cloud movements from the sea, which could lead to isolated rainfall in the eastern and southern regions of the country.

The NCM also warned of rough sea conditions in both the Oman Sea and the Arabian Gulf, with sea levels potentially rising along some eastern coast beaches during high tide on Sunday and Monday.
