BNW Developments, a trailblazer in the UAE’s luxury real estate sector, officially launched the BNW Legends Cup on December 13, 2024. This unique cricket tournament has brought together 15 of the region’s top real estate firms, offering an exciting series of matches designed to foster industry collaboration and networking.
The tournament, which runs until February 1, 2025, highlights BNW Developments’ approach to blending business networking with sportsmanship, creating an environment for brokers, investors, and stakeholders to bond and build meaningful relationships.
The opening ceremony was held at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai; was a star-studded event featuring cricket legend Chris Gayle as the Guest of Honor and former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth as the tournament’s Brand Ambassador.
The event was further elevated by the presence of BNW Developments’ Founder and Chairman Mr. Ankur Aggarwal and Co-Founder and Managing Director Mr. Vivek Anand Oberoi, who played a pivotal role in conceptualizing this unique initiative. The former said, “The BNW Legends Cup is more than just a cricket tournament—it is a platform that combines the competitive spirit of sports with the power of networking. We envision this as one of the biggest cricket leagues in the UAE, where industry leaders connect, collaborate, and grow together.”
Mr. Aggarwal, a passionate cricketer, demonstrated his skills as part of the BNW Mavericks, the host team, which won the opening match against the Springfield Stallions by an impressive 125-run margin. On Day 1, Rayna Properties triumphed over Revo XI by 12 runs, while Banke secured a 6-run victory against the Patriot Warriors.
Cricket superstar, Chris Gayle lauded BNW Developments for their pioneering spirit, stating, “This is a fantastic initiative by BNW. It’s great to see cricket being used as a medium to bring people together. I’d love to be part of this tournament in the future!” Meanwhile, S Sreesanth praised the tournament’s competitive edge and noted the high level of skill and enthusiasm among the participants.
