The UAE has strongly condemned the recent attack that targeted the residence of the UAE Head of Mission in Khartoum by a Sudanese army aircraft, which resulted in extensive damage to the building. In an official statement, the UAE has called on the Sudanese army to “assume full responsibility for this cowardly act.”
In the statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that it would submit a letter to the League of Arab States, the African Union, and the United Nations against this attack by the Sudanese Armed Forces, as it represents a flagrant violation of the fundamental principle of the inviolability of diplomatic premises.

The Ministry stressed the importance of protecting diplomatic buildings and embassy staff residences, under the treaties and customs that regulate diplomatic relations. Meanwhile, the ministry announced it would issue a note of protest to the League of Arab States, the African Union, and the United Nations regarding the attack by the Sudanese armed forces, which constitutes a blatant violation of the fundamental principle of safeguarding diplomatic missions.
The Sudanese authorities have consistently alleged that the UAE has been providing financial support and weapons to the RSF rebels fighting against them, amid nearly two and a half years of military operations. As a result of the ongoing military actions in the capital and its surrounding areas, foreign nations have relocated their diplomatic missions to Port Sudan in the east, which is under the control of the official government.
The Ministry expressed its strong condemnation of these criminal acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security and stability, in contravention of international law.
