On October 7th, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, approved a $30 million relief package for displaced Lebanese citizens currently taking refuge in Syria. Sheikh Mohamed directed six more flights to transport humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people on the anniversary of Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

On October 6th, the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” relief campaign was launched, scheduled to run from Tuesday, October 8th, to Monday, October 21st. This initiative involves participation from the community, institutions, and both government and private entities. The campaign follows the UAE President’s recent order for an urgent relief aid package of $100 million, aimed at supporting the Lebanese people as they confront current challenges and difficulties.

The UAE reaffirmed its “unwavering position” to stand in solidarity with Lebanon as it continues to exchange fire with Israel in an escalating regional conflict.
