Certain employees, whose roles require different schedules, are exempt from this change. Additionally, ministries and federal government agencies may continue their approved flexible work arrangements throughout Ramadan, as long as they adhere to the daily work hour limits.
For Fridays, remote work is allowed for up to 70% of the workforce, based on the established guidelines.
According to the Hijri calendar provided by the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), Ramadan is expected to begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025. However, yet an announcement is awaited.
