Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced road closures and changes to metro schedules on Sunday, November 10, in preparation for the Dubai Ride, the city’s largest community cycling event. The closures will affect key routes, including parts of Sheikh Zayed Road and the Financial Centre Road, to ensure safety for participants during the event’s fifth edition.

From 3:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., sections of Sheikh Zayed Road — between Trade Centre Roundabout and the second bridge — and Lower Financial Centre Road, between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, will be closed to regular traffic. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard will also see a partial closure. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, such as Al Mustaqbal Road, Al Wasl Road, and Al Khail Road, to avoid delays.

To accommodate event-goers, the RTA has extended Dubai Metro operating hours on November 10, with the Red and Green Lines set to run from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Open to riders of all ages and skill levels, the Dubai Ride offers participants a unique opportunity to experience the city’s major roads on two wheels, highlighting Dubai’s commitment to health and community-centered events.
