The UAE Ministry of Economy has introduced a new National Digital Platform designed to track the prices of essential consumer goods nationwide.
This innovative platform offers real-time monitoring of key staples, including oil, eggs, dairy products, rice, sugar, poultry, legumes, bread, and wheat, across multiple retailers.
With the ability to compare prices against established price ceilings, the platform ensures that all price hikes remain fair and within regulatory limits. Officials can easily track and ensure compliance, aiming to protect consumers and maintain market stability.
Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, emphasized that the initiative supports the UAE’s commitment to consumer protection, a balanced market, and a thriving, competitive economy.
This launch aligns with the country’s long-term goals under the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, reinforcing the nation’s focus on economic sustainability and fairness for all citizens
