The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning to motorists this morning due to reduced visibility caused by fog in several areas. A red alert was issued for some internal and coastal regions, where horizontal visibility could drop significantly until 9:30 AM.
According to the NCM, although foggy conditions are expected to clear by mid-morning, most residents can look forward to a fair to partly cloudy day. Some eastern regions may experience convective cloud formation, bringing a slight chance of rainfall. Temperatures across the UAE are expected to vary, with mountain areas cooling down to as low as 12ºC, while internal areas could see highs of up to 33ºC.
However, despite the cooler temperatures in the mountains, the weather department warns that it will remain humid overnight, continuing into Wednesday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist developing in some western regions. The seas will remain calm, with slight conditions expected in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Motorists are advised to take extra caution due to the poor visibility during the foggy conditions, especially in the early hours of the day.
