According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the UAE is set for another warm and humid day today. Temperatures are climbing, and the air is turning noticeably sticky—especially in coastal regions.
Across the country, sunshine will dominate, with partly cloudy spells expected intermittently. As the day progresses, temperatures are forecast to rise steadily, hitting between 37°C and 41°C in internal areas.
Coastal cities are bracing for even more intense heat, with highs expected to peak at 41°C. Yesterday’s top temperature was recorded at a scorching 43.2°C in Jebel Dhanna (Al Dhafra) at 2:15 PM.
In the early hours, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are both warming up, currently sitting around 27°C. However, the humidity is expected to climb, particularly along the coast, making the air feel noticeably more oppressive during the afternoon.
Winds will remain mostly light to moderate, beginning from the southeast and gradually shifting to a northeasterly direction by nightfall. Speeds will range from 10 to 20 km/h, with gusts potentially reaching 40 km/h over the sea. These gusts could stir up fine dust in some areas.
Sea conditions across both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight, offering relatively calm waters throughout the day.
In short: Pack your sunscreen, stay hydrated, and prepare for a muggy afternoon—especially if you’re near the coast.
