UAE Weather Update: Lightning, Rainfall In Dubai & Sharjah

Parts of the UAE have been experiencing light rain and cooler temperatures this morning, as various regions were affected by showers and thunderstorms. Areas such as Al Mazraa, Isfini, Al Halah (Fujairah), Al Ghayl, Falaj Al Mualla (Umm Al Quwain), Ras Al Khaimah, Bad’ Al Mutaw’ah, and Yaw Al Nadhrah (Al Dhafra region) were among the affected locations.

In addition, rain was reported in Al Khor, Al Aweeer, The Palm Jumeirah, Deira, and Dubai, with residents noticing the rain in different intensities.

In terms of temperatures, the UAE saw a cool start to the day, with the lowest recorded temperature being 13.8°C at Jais Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah, at 3.15 am UAE Local Time.

Sharjah’s Al Dhaid, Ghantout, Al Smeeh (Abu Dhabi), and Ajman were also affected by light rain, contributing to the overall weather pattern today. The NCM predicts cooler temperature throughout the day, with dim conditions.

The UAE’s weather conditions are set to remain unsettled, with fresh winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/hr, causing rough seas at times. The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience cloudy skies, and wave heights could reach up to 6 feet offshore.

These conditions are expected to persist until Tuesday, prompting authorities to advise caution for those planning maritime activities or heading to the coast. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on weather forecasts to ensure their safety.
