The inaugural edition of the WAVES Summit 2025 is set to dazzle audiences with electrifying performances by global and Indian musical icons, including Alan Walker, King, A.R. Rahman, and Shreya Ghoshal.

Scheduled from May 1 to May 4 at Mumbai’s premier venues, the summit will unfold under the visionary theme: “Leverage to Create in India.” It aims to convene key stakeholders from across the creative industries — from artists and studios to policymakers and investors — united by a shared ambition to shape the future of India’s burgeoning creative economy.

Beyond its industry-focused agenda, the summit promises a spectacular cultural extravaganza, celebrating the vibrancy and richness of India’s musical and artistic heritage.

The grand opening ceremony will feature an awe-inspiring 50-piece orchestra conducted by the legendary M.M. Keeravaani, setting the tone for an immersive, unforgettable experience.

In a special tribute to Indian folk traditions, renowned composer Shantanu Moitra will curate a heartfelt performance featuring celebrated artists such as Shaan and Papon at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC).

Further amplifying the star power, Shankar Mahadevan has curated an extraordinary showcase featuring Shivam Mahadevan, Ajay-Atul, A.R. Rahman, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, presenting some of his most iconic compositions across multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, and Tamil.

The Culturals program will highlight India’s vast artistic diversity through traditional folk dances, martial arts displays, vibrant drumming performances, and mesmerising masked traditions — each thoughtfully categorised by region to reflect the country’s rich tapestry of cultures.

Adding an international flavour, performances curated by various embassies will be seamlessly integrated into the lineup, offering a truly global cultural experience. Attendees can also look forward to expert-led interactions and masterclasses hosted at the NMACC’s Grand Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Jasmine Halls.

A detailed schedule of events and performances is available on the official WAVES Summit website.
