On Saturday, Elon Musk made an interesting proposition to the American voter bank. The billionaire pledged to give away $1 million each day until the November election to any citizen who agrees to sign his online petition supporting the U.S. Constitution. To validate these ambitious claims, Musk wrote a million-dollar check to an attendee at his Pennsylvania event to rally support for Republican candidate Donald Trump.

The first winner, John Dreher, “had no idea” about the check, according to the X executive chairman. Musk’s monetary incentive represents his most recent display of support for a Trump presidency in November 2024. Mighty million-dollar checks are likely to tip votes in Trump’s favor as he goes head-to-head against Democratic candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris.

The million-dollar petition in question reads, “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.” By signing the petition, Musk’s American PAC will be able to collect contact details from potential voters to sway votes in Trump’s favor.

Musk launched America PAC, a political action organization that supplements Trump’s presidential campaign. The group aims to mobilize and register voters in key battleground states, though it appears to be struggling to achieve its objectives. During the Harrisburg event on Saturday, Musk presented a bleak future for the US if Harris rose to power, declaring the 2024 elections as the “last election,” implying the US will cease to exist in light of a Harris win.

Musk has been vocal about his support for Trump since the former president’s attempted assassination in July. The otherwise apolitical billionaire has since joined forces with Trump to ensure his second term in the White House.

X’s flagbearer of free speech also spoke passionately about the Trump assassinations, offering his fiery take on why no one is killing Harris. “Assassinating a puppet is worthless,” Musk said emphatically.
